Target Setting Peer Exchange

This report summarizes the results of the one-day performance management peer exchange held by AASHTO and FHWA in June of 2014. It includes the feedback from the over 85 participants from State DOTs and MPOs on topics such as collaboration with stakeholders, coordination in target setting, and integration of targets into planning documents.

Model Long-Range Transportation Plans: A Guide for Incorporating Performance-Based Planning

The FHWA states, “This Guidebook informs State departments of transportation (DOTs), metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs), and regional transportation planning organizations (RTPOs), as well as their planning partners such as transit agencies, local governments, and Federal agencies, about effective practices for incorporating performance-based planning into the development of a long range transportation plan.”
